My oldest is "graduating" preschool this Friday and I just know I'm going to be a big sobbing mess at the end of the year show.  I loved the time we had there and the friendships, his and mine, that we have made there over the years I will treasure, so  before I start to cry now, let be get to the fun stuff.

Since 1972, the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce has produced Fiesta Hermosa, the ”largest arts & crafts fair in Southern California”. Over 400 artists and crafters are featured, including painters, photographers, ceramicists, jewelers, sculptors, and handicrafters. The festival takes place every Memorial Day and Labor Day Weekend (Saturday, Sunday and Monday) in downtown Hermosa Beach, California. Friday, May 31 - Good Food Fridays

This local, family-friendly event starts on Friday, May 31 from 7 -10 p.m. and continues through the summer on the last Friday of every month. The celebration allows guests to mix and mingle with local purveyors and enjoy freshly made food and baked goods, as well as an exclusive array of wines, smoothies, coffees and other tasty beverages. Festivities will include local live music and artists, screen-printing, cooking demonstrations, food sampling and tastings. More than 53 different butterfly and moth species and an array of plants take up residence every summer for the much-anticipated seasonal exhibit, the Butterfly Pavilion. Wander through a unique changing ecosystem,witness free-flying creatures interacting with plant life, and emerge with a better understanding of the environment needed for the survival of these spectacular animals.

Friday, May 24 through Sunday, May 19 - Metropolis II at LACMA

 Metropolis II is an intense kinetic sculpture, modeled after a fast paced, frenetic modern city. Steel beams form an eclectic grid interwoven with an elaborate system of 18 roadways, including one 6 lane freeway, and HO scale train tracks. Miniature cars speed through the city at 240 scale miles per hour; every hour, the equivalent of approximately 100,000 cars circulate through the dense network of buildings.

Groove Kid Nation continues its award winning music education series with a third release, Rhythm Bears. Producer Rodney Lee once again recruits top L.A. musicians and this time heads deep into the woods to create a soulful folk hoedown. Rhythm Bears is all about drawing kids into the music with call and response games that will have them clapping, stomping, playing percussion, and vocalizing. During the concert kids will learn about the acoustic bass, acoustic guitar, piano, and drums, and will also be encouraged to jam along with different rhythmic games

He's a long-time favorite of parents, children, and McCabe's, and it's been way too long since he and his gang were on our stage! Justin is truly one of the "All Stars" of the indie family music scene. He and The Not Ready for Naptime Players dish out unexpectedly intelligent and whimsically rocking music for kids and their parents. Justin is a Grammy nominee, a 5-time Parents' Choice Award winner, a 5-time NAPPA Gold Award winner, and he logs thousands of miles on the road each year, leading some to call him the hardest working man in children's show business.

She does puppet-time (with puppets for the children to play with), and story-time (with costumes for the children). She is a music teacher and does interactive songs (with instruments for all the children).
